Chin-Chin Strikes Gold at PCAM Pro Challenge |

(07-12-2008) Monterey,CA -- Chin-Chin was the winner of the 2008 Pacific
Coast Association of Magicians(PCAM) Pro Challenge, claiming the Gold
Medal and the $1000 cash prize this past weekend in Monterey, CA. Six
professional calibers performers were chosen to compete in this
prestigious contest, which was judged by the attending audience. 2006
Lance Burton award-winner Sterling Dietz (Lynden, WA) finished 2nd,
claiming the silver, and the bronze went to Trevor Watters and Lorena
(Vancouver,BC) Founded in 1933, PCAM incorporates chapters around the
entire Pacific Rim, including Japan, Hawaii, California, and western
Canada. Past winners of the PCAM pro challenge include Danny Cole,
Sylvester the Jester, and Jason Byrne.

(03-01-2008) San Francisco, CA -- Chin-Chin was featured on "Nissan's Bay Area Backroads", which airs on KRON-TV (local channel 4) Saturdays and Sundays at 6:00pm. Bay Area Backroads is the San Francisco Bay Area's longest-running locally produced television show, following host Doug McConnell around the Bay Area for the past 15 years. The segment shed light on the Bay Area magic scene, including its history, citing San Francisco resident and world-renowned magician Carter The Great. In the same breath, Chin-Chin is pronounced "The New Breed". Enjoy!

The Magic Castle is widely regarded as the most renowned venue for magic in the United States. This spring, come see Chin-Chin and the D.U.V Act dazzle in the Palace of Mystery.

(10-25-2007) San Francisco, CA -- Chin-Chin was honored as the sole entertainer for San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom at Rassela's Jazz Club in San Francisco. The event was a fundraising mixer for the mayor's re-election campaign. Chin-Chin baffled Mayor Newsom with some sleight-of-hand, to which the mayor responded, "Amazing... absolutely amazing."

(06-30-2007) Reno, NV -- The International Brotherhood of Magicians (IBM) selected Chin-Chin as one of only 5 adult finalists for the prestigious IBM Gold Medal of Excellence. IBM, one of the world's foremost magic organizations, boasts notable members such as Lance Burton and David Copperfield. The contest, part of IBM's 79th Annual Convention, included 30+ competitors from around the world. The convention itself attracted over 800 attendees to the Grand Sierra Resort. |
